Our fish vaccines are produced at our biopharmaceutical facility in Overhalla, Trøndelag. All our vaccines for various fish species worldwide are produced here. At our production facility in Kløfta we produce sterile vaccine components (virus antigen). In 2022, we produced over 2 billion doses of fish vaccines, and to meet the growing demand, we have an ambition for increased volume in the years ahead. As a manufacturer of pharmaceutical products, we follow strict requirements for quality and all our processes follow GMP/GDP (Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Distribution Practice). We are now seeking an experienced Plant Controller to our Global Manufacturing Supply (GMS) function in Norway.

Plant Controller

An opportunity exists for an experienced, proven Plant Controller to join the PHARMAQ operations team based in either the Overhalla or Kløfta, Norway manufacturing facilities. The primary focus of this role will be providing financial counsel and partnership to the site leader and leadership team playing a key role in shaping the future vision as they navigate through a period of rapid growth and expansion. The successful candidate will have a strong operational background and be able challenge the status quo helping the site maximize supply reliability, operational effectiveness and efficiency. They can translate and communicate operational changes into financial impacts for the team. This position will also be responsible for driving financial performance, reinforcing a culture of accountability for financial results at the site while ensuring a strong control environment and compliance with policies and procedures. This is an individual contributor role but leading cross functional teams and projects at the site will be critical to success. The successful candidate will be a member of the site leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide financial support and counsel to site leader and leadership team, drive financial performance at the site culture of continuous improvement
  • Responsibility for financial planning, analysis and control including leadership of annual budget process, product costing, quarterly forecasting activity and monthly reporting of actual results, ensuring the timeliness and integrity of financial data
  • Lead long range financial planning activities for the site
  • Provide leadership to site transformation effort and work closely with the site leader to ensure successful implementation
  • Establish effective working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues across the site; take time to understand site operations and educate non finance colleagues in financial performance and key drivers
  • Maintain close working relationship with Finance Lead, Biologics technology platform.
  • Act as key point of contact for the site with Zoetis Operating Model; provide support to the Tax, Compliance and Accounting team located in Zaventem and to the Zoetis Financial Shared Service as necessary
  • Maintain compliance with Zoetis accounting policies and procedures. Co-ordinate and support internal and external audit activity

Qualifications and profile:

Education:

  • University degree in appropriate discipline (i.e. accounting, finance or economics)
  • Professional accounting designation or equivalent

Experience:

  • 5 – 8 years finance experience in complex manufacturing environment, demonstrates a high level of cost accounting knowledge and strong analytical skills
  • Experience with site transformation an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple and diverse projects
  • Ability to provide direction to achieve a high level of financial performance and compliance
  • Demonstrated high level of customer focus
  • Previous people management experience
  • Previous SAP experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Norwegian GAAP
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken

Preferred main working place will be Overhalla in Trøndelag, Norway but we are flexible to discuss different workplaces for the right candidate at any of our sites in Norway i.e., Kløfta.
